Wounded Healers: Church Staff & Leadership Training

Our Approach

At It Is Well, we understand that church leaders often carry both calling and cost. Many church leaders are

Wounded Healers—faithfully serving while carrying unaddressed pain from ministry, leadership betrayal, church hurt, or personal trauma. Our approach honors the sacred nature of ministry while acknowledging the emotional, relational, and psychological realities leaders face behind the scenes.

Our mental health leadership trainings are designed to support pastors, ministry leaders, and church teams with trauma-informed and faith-centered guidance that strengthens both personal well-being and healthy leadership.

We create safe and confidential spaces where leaders can reflect, reset, and grow—without judgment or stigma.

Our "Wounded Healers" Framework Helps Leaders Understand:

- How unhealed wounds and chronic stress can shape decisions and behaviors impacting how one might lead

- Why compassion fatigue, hyperactive responses, or emotional withdrawal occur

- How trauma impacts discernment, communication, and connection

- How healing restores clarity, compassion, and authority

This is not about labeling leaders as broken—it is about tending wounds so leadership can remain healthy and purpose driven.
